Hello! My name is Marisa Goo and I am a graduate student at UCSD. I have a passion for science and a love for traveling and eating good food. I look forward to sharing my work, meeting everyone, and eating some amazing ramen! I am interested in the molecular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity, in particular how glutamate receptors are regulated by the ubiquitin-proteasome system.

I’m a postdoctoral fellow in the mucosal immunology lab of Colby Zaph at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. My project focuses on the intestinal epithelium and its role in inflammation, regeneration, and cancer. Specifically, I study signaling pathways that are important for abovementioned processes.?
